I think I may have broken my finger

My hand lost a fight with someone's leg. Ow. Actually, I have no idea whether it's broken or not. I know it hurts, it's bruised, it's swollen and I can't move it. But it's just my little finger and I've taped it to my next finger and it's unlikely I'll ever get it looked at so I guess I'll never know.

(but part of me would like to know so I can answer the memes that ask whether I've ever broken a bone. /dork)

Ouch! Poor you :(

Well, strapping it will propably help if it's broke or sprained or soemthing, but if it's dislocated in any way - not so much. If it still hurts bad after a few days or a week you ought to get it checked out.

My Aunt just recently had a similar thing happen to her finger but she never went in, now it healed crooked and hurts all the time, and the only way to fix it now is to rebreak it and set it right - ouch!

My brother told me the same thing about what happened to his hand!

Your advice is very sensible though... I'll see how it is in a day or two and figure out whether I should get it looked at :)

Yikes! I hope it's not too bad now. :( But I'd really recommend getting it looked at if at all possible, since it might cause you problems further down the line.

I think you're right about getting it looked ar... I'll see in a couple of days whether ir needs to be done. Getting a doctor's appt in this city is no mean feat and I'd like to avoid the trauma if possible :)
